BLACKBURN ROVERS
(London & District) SUPPORTERS CLUB
The London Branch of the Blackburn Rovers supporters club aims to provide a service to Rover’s fans - wherever they may live.
Whilst the majority of our 200+ membership live in the south east of England,
we have members in many different parts of the UK and abroad.
Membership of the London Branch entitles you to any or all of the following benefits
Bookings for AWAY match tickets ONLY (subject to availability and due notice)
(Excludes ALL European matches as appropriate)
An opportunity to benefit from cheaper travel by British Rail to Blackburn
Rovers fixtures (minimum of ten members needed - either from
our branch or in conjunction with another branch), and information on members travelling by car with spaces available.
The chance to meet other Rovers supporters for pre-match “ refreshments”
and other social occasions.
The London Branch has a membership spanning a wide age-range, including a number of ladies and under 16 members.
A quarterly newsletter “Many Miles From Home” containing details of
Rovers fixtures and availability of tickets, news items about Rovers, articles and comments, letters from members, information about forthcoming social events and London Branch sporting fixtures. The cost of production and distribution of “Many Miles From Home” is covered by subscriptions and is provided without any additional charges to club members of the London Branch.(Supplemented with News flyers as appropriate)
Social and sporting events organised.
Such events have included pool, and darts competitions, quiz nights, pitch and putt, golf and tennis tournaments, and mystery “pub crawls”.
Other events can be arranged subject to sufficient interest and support by the membership.
Any ideas would be welcomed.
An annual Dinner with guest speakers from the Rovers, the highlight of
our social calendar (Previously held at the Directors Suite, Ewood Park).
Representing the London Branch against other clubs London Branches in
Football leagues organised by Association of Provincial
Football Supporters Clubs in London (APFSCIL).
Darts and Pool no league entered, friendlies only.
Fixtures are played either evenings or weekends in Central London.
Friendly cricket matches are also arranged on a informal basis during
the summer. New players are always welcome in all departments.
Participation in the annual group gathering, after a selected home fixture,
and the presentation of the London Branch player of the year trophy for the
previous season.
All members are welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting -
which usually occurs in June/July.
An annual report is
produced following the AGM, and is available upon request.
The
costs of membership i.e. Individual Over 16 - £5.00 each.
Household - £6.00 each,
Under 16/OAP/& Disabled – £2.00 each.
The London Branch is affiliated to the Blackburn Rovers Football Club,
and to the Blackburn Rovers Football Club Supporters Association.
